  • How do I download the files that I have purchased?

    You can immediately access all digital files (Word, PDF or mp3) as soon as the purchase procedure is complete. You can download the materials you have purchased under ‘My Store’ by clicking ‘Files’ and then saving the files you have purchased to your computer. It is important to save these files to your computer as soon as possible because they will only be available for 24 hours.

    Traditional paper materials are sent by post to the address you have specified during the purchase procedure. We aim to ensure your materials will arrive within 21 days but we cannot guarantee this.

  • How do I get an invoice?

    You can print an invoice under ‘My Store’ by clicking ‘History of orders’ and then click the number of the invoice you wish to print. The invoice number is the same as the order number which was sent to you by email. Click the 'Printable invoice' link at the bottom of the page to get a detailed invoice suitable for printing. You must be logged into the site with your email address and password to use this feature.

  • How do I pay?

    You must first register with us by clicking the ‘Register’ link in the ‘Login’ box in order to purchase materials. Payment is made by credit card using the secure online payment facility contained in this store.

  • Are these materials only for lawyers?

    The materials are designed for lawyers, assistants, translators, legal English trainers, law students and other legal professionals.

    The intended readership for each product item is noted in the description given in the store.

  • Can I reproduce these materials?

    Yes. You are free to use the materials purchased and downloaded from the Legal English Store in any way convenient for your purposes (including printing, photocopying, etc.).

  • Do the training materials act as preparation for the International Legal English Certificate (ILEC)?

    Yes, except where indicated (i.e. in the case of glossaries, style guides etc which are not strictly speaking training materials). All our training materials have been tailored with the needs of ILEC in mind.

  • Where can I obtain further information about legal English training?

    Forum Legal runs legal English training all around Europe.

  • I am an author of legal English materials. Can I sell my materials at this store?

    We are keen to expand our library of high-quality legal English materials and pay fees on a royalty basis to the authors of materials purchased from this site. If you are a native English-speaking lawyer with experience in teaching legal English, we would be interested in hearing from you. Please contact us at info@forum-legal.com with (1) your curriculum vitae, (2) a description of the proposed product, its purpose and intended market, (3) a draft table of contents, and (4) a 5000-word sample of the material. We will assess your submission and if we feel it is of sufficient quality, value and commercial viability, will request the full manuscript for consideration.

  • Can I copy information from the PDF documents?

    Yes, you can copy information from our PDF documents and paste them into a Microsoft Word document. Our PDF documents are not locked and we encourage you to copy information from the PDF documents for your own use.

  • Can I use my e-book reader to read electronic materials purchased from the Legal English Store?

    Yes. Our PDF files are supported on the following e-book readers: iRex iLiad, iRex DR1000, Sony Reader, Bookeen Cybook, Foxit eSlick, Amazon Kindle (1, 2, International & DX) and Barnes & Noble nook.
